The Coyote Flats wildfire had affected almost 400 acres as of Friday morning, March 19. No injuries have been reported and some outbuildings, but no homes, were destroyed.

"The weather is definitely a concern for us," incident commander Tom Roerick said. "We're in a prolonged dry spell here, we haven't had a whole lot of moisture. With this really warm weather and wind, it dries this grass out. It's very dry, very receptive to fire."
